We designed the OXO Brew 9-Cup Coffee Maker to regulate brew time, water temperature and volume, the three variables that can make or break a pot of coffee. Just add water and ground coffee and select the number of cups to brew -- the machine will handle the rest. The OXO Brew 9-Cup Coffee Maker is recognized as an exemplary home brewer by the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) for delivering rich, gold-standard coffee – every time.
- Microprocessor-controlled brew cycle replicates the pour-over method to produce 2-9 cups of SCAA-certified perfect coffee
- Water is heated and held at the perfect temperature for coffee (197.6-204.8 Degrees F)
- Rainmaker shower head evenly disperses water over coffee grounds for uniform saturation and full flavor extraction

I liked the carafe, liked the see through water vessel, liked the cone filter apparatus but don't like the fact that it doesn't sit flat on the counter when I fill with coffee grounds from my grinder. I liked the coffee it produced! It is fairly large and high. So it might not store permanently under the upper kitchen counter and have to be pulled out when I use it. This is because of the way both the lid for the water and the cone filter open.

The coffee is good, but it leaks and drips whenever you take the carafe out to pour coffee.
There is always water/coffee around the carafe area.
My husband hates the machine.

I've been brewing coffee from pour over filters and my special kettle for years. I was saying to myself I had the best coffee this way since I could control all parts of the process. Well I'm now happy with my new coffee maker. I save much time and can prepare a large quantity in one pot. After few adjustments in my recipe (quantity, grind ...) I get a very delicious coffee (better?) every time. The pot is very well insulated so that you get hot coffee for few hours. Easy to use and clean. The height of the appliance makes it impossible to leave on the counter under the cupboard in my kitchen so I had to find a spot somewhere else, but it's worth the effort.

It is too tall to fit on the kitchen counter under the top cabinets. I had to return it. Chef Supplies were wonderful with the return. I am now in the process of buying the Technivorm Moccamaster after consulting with Ryan at Chef Supplies. I probably should have contacted the company first to ask their opinion on the coffeemakers.
