Description

Zwilling - 7" V-Edge  Nakiri Knife With Sharpener

Never a dull knife again! Its time to sharpen like the professionals. Included in this set is a ZWILLING Gourmet 6.5” Nakiri and ZWILLING V Edge Sharpener. Anyone who’s ever prepared food with a truly sharp knife knows the incredible experience of using one. However, even the best blades lose their edge over time. Regular sharpening is crucial for maintaining their quality over the long term. But before you reach for a whetstone or sharpening steel and spend hours online looking for instructions on how to sharpen a knife correctly, take a moment to read on. Its patented sharpening mechanism is incredibly simple and wholly effective. Simply pull the knife’s blade at a diagonal from above in a downward direction and the V-Edge does the rest. The V-shape arranged ceramic sharpening stones evenly sharpen the entire length of the blade without risk of damaging it. Different angle adapters are included for European (like the ZWILLING PRO Chef Knife) and Japanese knives. A lot of work has also been put into the exceptional design and premium workmanship of the V-Edge to make sure you see at first glance just how good it is. Instead of hiding it away in the cupboard, simply place it on the kitchen counter and leave the fine grain sharpening stones installed. That way, you can simply pull your knives through the V-Edge a couple of times before each use. Your knives will retain their professional sharpness and you’ll enjoy cooking with them even more.

Past Prepared Us For the Future

In 1731 Peter Henckels registered the ZWILLING trademark with the Cutler’s Guild of Solingen, Germany. A brilliant idea indeed because that makes ZWILLING one of the oldest brands in the world & Germans are well known for their love of traditions. We have a 288-year-old brand history that we are eager to share with everyone & we are a modern, forward-thinking company that is all about future cooking trends & technologies.

Every great recipe starts with great ingredients. When it comes to our high-quality knives and cookware it is our ZWILLING special formula steel. It’s called “ZWILLING Sonderschmelze” and features an impressively well-balanced combination of chrome and carbon, which is the secret to producing a steel of supreme quality. Our master bladesmiths train for 8 years before they get their hands on our knives.

Forging is at the heart of the production of knives. The knife is given its shape by the use of temperature and force under extreme conditions. SIGMAFORGE knives are precision-forged from a single piece of steel. The result is a perfect geometry and we always strive for perfection when it comes to our knives. When you hold a ZWILLING product, you can be sure you are holding a piece of history.

    Cool It Down

We have optimized the hardening process to obtain the optimum degree of hardness – because the right hardness is simply everything. If the steel is too soft, the knife will become blunt. If it too hard, it will break. Our special ice-hardening process guarantees flexible FRIODUR blades with extremely good cutting edge retention and exceptional corrosion resistance.
