    Perfect roll baker

Beautifully crafted, easy to use. Makes lovely sized buns. You can’t achieve the crust any other way than using Emile Henry bakeware.

A beautiful addition to my collection

I’m looking forward to my first batch of rolls…

Over the Covid years I began to experiment with sourdough bread baking using the Emile Henry products as a baking vessel… whether it’s been a bread baker or a large roaster the texture of the crust and the character of the crumb has benefited from the bake in the magical clay of France. I’m sure the crown bread baker will get a lot of use this winter… aiming for perfect crusty buns.

The reduction of one star is related to the drop in price by $10 immediately after I placed my order!

A better deal for someone else (the last crown bread baker sold off within a day) but disappointing to have paid the extra $10. Generally very good prices on ‘Chef Supplies’ though… shipping was quick and efficient and the fragile product was well packed with plenty of protective paper insulating against shock breakage.
