The 2 Slice Classic Toaster is available in a huge selection of colour finishes* and features our unique ProHeat ® elements. We are proud that every Classic Toaster is handmade in the UK by our skilled craftsman. Quality and attention to detail are paramount, which is why each toaster features the assembler's name on the base plate. It offers all the styling and functionality you would expect from a Dualit toaster, along with the additional features of a defrost setting for frozen bread and the option to toast buns and bagels. The energy-efficient slot selector control allows you to heat either one or both slots.

Sometimes simple is better. It doesn't get much simpler than mechanical switches and timers. I saw some reviews that complained about feeling like your breaking the timer when you force it back to off but I did not find it that bad. Everything we put in came out toasted evenly. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the crumb tray feels really cheap compared to the rest of the toaster.

I bought this toaster mainly because of it's narrow width and modern looks.
Upon receiving it I was impressed by the quality of construction, solid and well made!
With regards to usage the heating elements are powerful.. I get good results quickly at a setting of 4 on a max of 8! But the most important quality of this toaster is that you can lift the lever to actually see the toasts before the allotted time without stopping the process! In this way I am able to get the bread just lightly toasted on the outside and soft on the inside...marvellous!!

Finally a quality toaster. Our family went through dozen of toaster made in china and doesn’t matter how expensive they were ALL junk that doesn’t last.If You want a lasting toaster and stop wasting ressources; then buy a Dualit NewGen. Enough said.

Had to run toast through two max settings to toast, one side was perfect, other side not toasted on top, half toasted on the bottom. Defrost setting required three cycles to defrost a thick piece of bread. Returned toaster, customer service people at Chef Supplies were very good. I expected the most expensive toaster to work right out of the box.

We like the toaster very much. Like the fact we can get parts if needed and not made in China. Prefer to unplug the toaster rather than force the timer, if you want to stop toasting early. Like the lift and look feature. Only had it a few weeks but worth the price so far.

Dualit is imported from Great Britain, England and is hand made by British craftsman since 1945, and is known for their stunning retro-inspired toasters which not only are of the highest quality, but if something should go wrong can be serviced with replacement parts, unlike most toasters these days which would be simply thrown away if something were to break.
