Description

The Staub cocotte is unsurpassed for slow-cooking meats and vegetables to tender perfection, and for simmering hearty stews and soups. Cast iron possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout.

Staub's special matte black enamel interior guarantees perfect browning and braising for flavour-enhanced food. With their exquisite enamel finish, each piece transitions beautifully from the kitchen to the table. From comfort food to sumptuous suppers, every dish is special when served in Staub.

Staub enameled cast iron cookware is the choice of the world's best chefs. With exceptional durability, it is perfect for day-to-day use in both gourmet home kitchens and prestigious restaurants around the world. Built to last a lifetime, these heirloom pieces can be passed from generation to generation.

Rooted in the history of the brand, the vintage range reminds of an ultra-classic style with a retro design. The design of the vintage range goes back in time and in the history of STAUB, which began in 1974, more than 40 years ago. There are remarkable traditional elements such as the tulip handles, that some would call "ears", that make gripping particularly easy. These elements were inspired from previous cocotte models as well as gratin dishes which were more easily stacked and moved thanks to the shape of their handles.

Luckily this secret actually isn’t that secret, so we are happy to share it. Let’s start with the specially-contoured lid and its excellent moisture-retention properties. Its self-basting system ensures a continuous rainfall effect evenly over the cocotte’s contents. This guarantees that each ingredient retains its full flavor. Meat does not dry out and vegetables remain tender.

Beautiful and good size for a small family

This is exactly the size I want. I love its style and color. I stewed beef and cooked chicken soup with it. Good for 1-3 person meal.
