Description

"BIG O" by RIEDEL is the new generation of the "O" wine tumbler series and brings fresh excitement to this popular range which was originally designed by Maximilian J Riedel in 2004.

Featuring the bowl shape of the VINUM XL Syrah glass, which was introduced by Georg J. Riedel after a visit to the Guigal family, this glass is designed to deliver the classic aromas of toast and black olives, which are typical of this wine. The Big O Syrah glass is also well suited for the enjoyment of Amarone, Grenache, Malbec, Mourvedre, Petiti Syrah and Tanat.

Ideal for the following grapes:
Amarone, Barbera, Blaufrankisch, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Cornas, Cote Rotie, Crozes Hermitage, Malbec, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Priorato, Shiraz, St. Joseph, Syrah, Tannat, Zweigelt

O (2004) is the first varietal specific wine tumbler in history. O is an innovative take on the casual wine glass for total wine enjoyment. O is based on the benchmark shapes of RIEDEL VINUM to enhance the world's most important grape varietals. The tumbler, used for centuries as an all-round drinking vessel, is now turned into a sophisticated wine accessory. It fits into every dishwasher. Broken stems are a thing of the past. O is executed in fine crystal, machine blownin Bavaria, Germany.

Riedel

Riedel is shipped free across Canada on orders over $99. Riedel has been producing hand-blown wine glasses since the 1950's, but what has distinguished them from other manufacturers is their discovery In 1973 that the bouquet, taste, balance, and finish of wines is affected by the shape of the glass from which the wine is drank from. With this knowledge Riedel has produced many different shapes of wine glasses to best highlight the different characteristics of different types of wine, and today offers over 150 different wine glasses and wine products to best showcase your wine.
