Ooni - Dual Platform Digital Scale - UU-P0A800

I already own two high end digital scales for my espresso setup. But they are very small and thus weighting ingredients for making bread is just not easy. This dual scale is incredible with a very high capacity of up to 10kg on the large scale! And i use the small one for yeast/salt and you can use both at the same time so this is very handy for any bread/pizza making like i’m doing a lot. Big LCD display is easy to read, tare fonction for both scale. I see two negatives aspect: Only work with AA battery, i would have like to be able to use either a power adaptor or even better a lithium rechargeable battery. For example on my espresso digital scale i have to recharge it once per year and i use it almost everyday. Second negative point is that the auto-shutoff is too short, if you are following a recipe or need to grab an ingredient that you can’t find in a short time you may come back and the scale is OFF. So prepare everything upfront to avoid any frustration. Overall for the nice large capacity, for the fantastic dual scale with one for small qty item (yeast + salt), for the compact size, nice LCD display and pricepoint i would give it a 9/10.
